[Ardour-Users] Ardour nightly builds and git now UNSTABLE

A few days ago, several development branches were merged into the master
branch, and then a global edit was performed to change all uses of "frame"
in an audio context into "sample". This latter change fixes a design error
I made nearly 20 years ago by using this term; as Ardour's connections to
video and timecode have grown, the "technically correct" aspect of the
terminology has been outweighed by the potential for confusion.

The result, tagged 6.0-pre0, is a new state that (a) is NOT guaranteed to
load old sessions (b) will generate new sessions that CANNOT be loaded by
older versions.

DO NOT USE git master UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE TESTING A
DEVELOPMENT VERSION THAT IS UNDERGOING SUBSTANTIAL, DEEP CODE REDESIGN.

In general, I would prefer not to get side-tracked by backward
compatability issues during this phase of development on 6.0. However,
tracker.ardour.org is open and will accept reports on 6.0-pre0 at this
point in time.
