More specifically, hdsploader does and can be used to load "firmware" (it
is really just configuration data) onto the HDSP devices, but is no longer
necessary because the driver does this directly, all by itself. there are
odd circumstances where manual use of hdsploader can be useful but they are
not envisaged for normal users.

what readme are you talking about?
