[Ardour-Users] linux distro install tool info wanted

please reply to the list with the 

   * name(s) of linux distribution(s) 
   * name of the install tool for the distro
   * name of ardour package for the distro
   * actual command to install and to update ardour
   * name of special repository/ies worth knowing for the distro
   * any other special pkg-mgmt based hints

don't bother with fedora, i use it and know the answers there. 
i suggest waiting for a while between each reply so that we don't get
lots of duplicates. 

and yes, i know that a wiki page would be the simplest but ... this is
faster to get rolling.
