[Ardour-Users] Mysterious asterisk

An Ardour session that I loaded this morning contains a number of playlist
regions that mysteriosly begin with an asterisk (i.e. an asterisk that isn't
part of the region's real name).  So if the region is called " Audio-1 " it
appears on the timeline as " *Audio-1 " (with a prepended asterisk).  The
audio seems to get played out alright though.  Anyone know what the asterisk
means?
