[Ardour-Users] How do I select and copy a time aligned region?

It works great- thanks much.
Would the other approach be the constrained drag?
I tried that, but the trimming effect I described would seem to indicate 
that I was overlooking something there, too.
Or was I misunderstanding the usual purpose of the operation?
