[Ardour-Users] Could Compiz-Fusion actually improve performance?

That is probably because compiz/etc make use of the 3D-acceleration of the 
graphics-card while the normal 2D-desktop has all the not-so-fancy stuff done 
by the cpu and just pushes finished pictures to the graphics. Using a 
composition-manager in 2D mode might also improve the performance.
