Hello,

just asking prior to opening a bug...

I'm using Ardour 0.99.3. When "snapping to region ends" and then creating a new marker
immediately (without moving the locator, just pressing the numpad-enter key), the newly
created marker sits off-by-one. It's on the last (actually playing) sample of the region
in question and not on the "nominal end" (which is the first sample /after/ the region).

For example, if your region is (in timeline coordinates):
 start = 10
 end   = 20
...this will mean your region will play _at_ pos=10 to pos=19 inclusive. When using
"snap to end" as descibed above, the new marker will sit at pos=19

While one could argue this to be "at the regions end", I really think it should sit
at pos=20, because this is where you have to place the next following region if you
want it to continue seamless (with no crossfade and no click, given the material is
appropriate).

Is this a known problem?
Does Ardour-2 behave the same way?
should I file a bug in mantis?

Thanks,
Hermann Vosseler
