[ardour-users] anyone using Dell Latitude laptops w/Ardour?

All:

I'm looking at getting a new laptop primarily for audio work and was 
wondering if anyone has had any experiences (good or bad) using newer Dell 
Latitude laptops with Ardour on higher track-count projects (planning for 
24 simultaneous tracks) using RME hardware?

Along those same lines, for those of you who record to external firewire 
drives, what types/makes of units have you been using with good results?
