Hey,
Thanks for the quick responses...this is what i have so far:
For AMD64 there is only one package available...there are no masked
packages, it is 0.2.1-r1
Now when I do listplugins I get the following

(trimmed)
/usr/lib64/ladspa/caps.so:
        10-band eq (1773/Eq)
Mono compressor suitable for musical instruments (1772/Compress)
        Pan and width (1788/Pan)
        Tube amp emulation (1786/AmpIII)
Tube amp emulation + tone controls (1794/AmpIV)
        Tube preamp emulation (1776/PreampIII)
Tube preamp emulation + tone controls (1777/PreampIV)
        Amp/speaker emulation (1766/Cabinet)
        Hard clipper, 8x oversampled (1771/Clip)
        Mono chorus/flanger (1767/Chorus)
        Stereo chorus with feedback (1768/StereoChorus)
        Mono phaser (1775/Phaser)
2x ladder filter swept by a Lorenz fractal (1782/SweepVF)
        Tri / saw / square oscillator (1783/VCOs)
Double VCO with detune and hard sync (1784/VCOd)
        Chief Executive Oscillator (1770/CEO)
        Sine generator (1781/Sin)
        White noise generator (1785/White)
The sound of a Lorenz attractor (1774/Lorenz)
The sound of a Roessler attractor (1780/Roessler)
        Stanford-style reverb from STK (1778/JVRev)
        Versatile plate reverb (1779/Plate)
        Versatile plate reverb, 2x2 (1795/Plate2x2)
        Metronome (1769/Click)
        IIR-based HRTF at elevation 0 (1787/HRTF)

So they are there but they aren't listed as CAPS: plugin, so they come up
all over the place in the list!! I had a look at what was involved in
creating my own ebuilds from source tarballs, and decided to leave it to the
experts!
