Is everything in 64-bit binaries?  I got nothing but constant reported
X-runs when using a 32-bit JACK et al on a 64-bit kernel (Fedora 4 on
AMD64, not dual-core) - like you, they didn't screw up the sound but
it did make attached JACK applications irritable (at best) and
Rosegarden would have nothing to do with it.
