I'm using Ardour OSX quite successfully with quite a few LADSAP plugins 
for mobile recording on my Powerbook, though I built the version 
myself.  There is a nice version of beta .29 that may work for you that 
was compiled by Taybin a while back, thought there were some problems 
with it.
