	You should probably join ardour-dev anyway, as much as you're testing. 
I've been running the latest (CVS) for a day or two pretty heavily and
haven't had any major problems.  There is one that will lock up your
system but it's on start-up - if you start clicking a bit too soon (I
have been unable to repeat it though).  I'm running a 2.4 kernel on an
Athlon with 512MB.  I just don't trust 2.6 yet (I've tried 2.6.6mm1 on a
laptop and switched back).  What version of Ardour are you on?
