[ardour-users] Help please

here is my config:

Dual pentium II 450 intellistation

512 megs ram

Mandrake 9.2 with 2.4.22-28mdksmp Kernel

I'm using an Ensoniq es1370 audio card (have better card but if software 
does not work i'm not going to bother)

All software: Ardour and Qjackctl are installed and I can launch Qjackctl 
but I keep getting the message that "Client cannot connect to Jack server".  
Is there something special that needs to be done to get Jack to connect?
