Nope. In your original post, you said:

I just went to that site and did a complete clean install of ardour on 
to two Mandrake 9.2 systems from the latest CVS RPM on the site. It 
installed fine.

Since you say that you are trying to install a RH RPM instead of a Mdk 
one, I am not surprised that you are having dependency problems. My 
advice is to do exactly what Johannes said.
