Probably a silly question but...DO you have URPMI set up on your mdk
install? 

if not, check this link out. http://urpmi.org/easyurpmi/index.php  Walks
you thru and solves your dependency issues like that! Add a "contrib"
server and also Thacs at http://rpm.nyvall.se for your MDK version. 

The only thing is that, as I stated earlier, the version of Ardour that
is in the 9.2 repository was a CVS snapshot of beta 11.2. I did not have
much luck with the package. But if you get the other dependencies fixed
up, you can find the most recent rpm on http://rpm.pbone.net and when
you install it, it is likely that URPMI will still find the other
package you need on a "contrib" server automagically.
