Even if it's not an Adaptec controller you need to read that page.  I'd
be willing to bet LSI hogs the PCI bus just like the Adaptec controller
does.  Try dropping a cheap IDE drive in and use it for your data and
see what happens (make sure you're not doing any SCSI I/O).
