Hi Paul and gang,

I have this long running issue 
http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=2419 that I would love fixed in 
the next 2.x release, as it would make my life a lot easier.  This 
worked perfectly in the 0.9x versions, but ardour improved so much since 
then...

I have a donation lined up when it is fixed, additional to my monthly 
subscription.

I even have a rudimentary patch in there that solves the problem (at 
least there is no more segfaults)
