OK, I've been thinking about this for some time now. The way I proposed
it is probable too much a 'hassle' to create...

But how about supporting multiple timelines per session? This way all
current functionality will be exactly the same, except for having an
extra tab on the right side, which contains all extra timelines.
Copy/move between timelines can by done with the default copy/paste
actions...

Please comment on this idea, and I will create the appropriate feature
request..

Cheers!
