Hi Paul,
I got Ardour 2 built on my AMD64 machine. No problems building it
and no problems starting it. No xruns during hookup even at 64/2.
However I tried loading a very simple existing session that had a
single stereo track ripped from a DVD sound track. The track showed up
in the session but there was no audio and it of course didn't play.

   I will investigate more later.

QUESTION: How can I keep both 0.99beta30 and Ardour2-Alpha1 on my
system and quickly switch back and forth between them? (Or even run
them both side by side?)

Thanks,
Mark
