[Ardour-Users] Clipping in ardour vs replain gain track peak

Folks,

I use Ardour for some editing from time to time, but what i end up using it
for most is examining my music collection to see how brick-walled things
are.

What i'm wondering is how Ardour determines clipping. The track "Deify" by
Disturbed has a replay gain track peak of 0.966766. That means it's close
to hitting the digital wall and clipping but not there yet, right?

So, what is Ardour's threshold for clipping?

Am i just reading this all incorrectly?
