[Ardour-Users] Summing up to mono ?

For many people, just playing back in mono will show up those issues. Thus
on the monitor bus in Ardour you have a MONO switch.

Now if you want to be very specific, an external hardware controller is
often used to switch between monitor systems, and some people will use a
single mono, and often intentionally crappy(Meaning not flat response),
monitor speaker, to hear what it will sound like on many systems. SOme
could argue that mono compatibility is less of an issue than it was, but it
is still a good idea to check.

Often times it can be good to balance your mix in mono, and towards the
end, add stereo panning. If it sounds good in mono, it can probably sound
great in stereo.
