[Ardour-Users] Summing up to mono ?

Hello,

The term 'summing up to mono' is seen in audio mixing/mastering
articles, which basically means to hear your mix in mono, to check out
what would be the effects of phase cancellation for instance.  I
presume phase cancellation would be more acute in mono than in a stereo
field.

Is it possible to realize this mono summing up in Ardour ?  For
instance a typical session with say 20 tracks, 4 busses and 1 master
bus.  Using a 1010LT card, playback 1 and 2 are the default speakers,
and playback 3 and 4 the headphones.  Would creating a mono bus and
having sends from all the tracks sent to that mono bus which in turn
would be assigned to single playback output 5 connected to a single
speaker, achieve what is meant in those articles ?
