As long as there's no need to edit the control file and/or the rules
file, e.g. because upstream already provides updated Debian control and
rule files, if not, the user needs to check the control and rules files.

Assumed the official repositories break a soname dependency by an
upgrade, the user needs to care about this and rebuild the package
against the new libs. The new packages by one way or another could
become a continuing building lot, at least if Ubuntu backports/security
updates should be used.
