[Ardour-Users] High number of crashes

Hi,

It's incredible.  This evening Ardour 4.2.0 has crashed several times.
OK, it can be the cause of plug-ins, but the net effect is there.
Just occurred again now, this time right at startup (really right
there, before doing anything else than starting up, no playing, no
nothing) Ardour shows a dialog box to the effect that the disk is not
responding as it should. Which I hardly believe, really.

I think I will start to break projects in distinct sessions.  It might
be too much to have 5 groups, each with 8+ tracks, and many tracks with
effects (Calf and Gx, actually, both compiled from recent source).
One is from the OS (Linux Mint), though and that is fftw.  Removing the
package seems to bring down a lot of other packages in its wake, so
that's back to the question of would it be better to use KXstudio for
its static linkin' instead of compiling everything that depends on
fftw...
