Mixbus is Ardour with a few proprietory enhancements. The version used
by Harrison in their X-dubber is running on Linux IIRC.

I think this pro vs. hobbyist stuff is a bit silly. I work as an audio
engineer and I use Ardour (not that I'm famous). I also think it's great
that a DAW like Ardour is available to anyone, pro or not. What I don't
get is the unwillingness to learn how to configure ALSA and JACk in order
to use it.

The reason a few of us emphasised the fact that we use Ardour for paid
work is that the OP said "f*ck pro audio engineers". That's pretty
irritating.
