I didn't look very hard for an opt out to be honest, but apparently Paypal
wanted me to sign up for an account as well. I already had one, but they
wouldn't let me enter my Korean CC in my Australian Paypal account. I tried
to just pay using that card without an account but it forced me to sign up
for a new account to subscribe. So yes, Paypal is not exactly
straightforward to use sometimes, though I understand your reasoning for
using it.

I've found Google Checkout to be much easier to use from a consumer point
of view (and as an expat), but maybe it's just as annoying for non Google
users. Any particular reason against it?
