hey,

I have learnt a lot from your all your instructions :-) ---> I have a
lot less xruns by installing a lowlatency kernel (installed via
synaptic)

--> experimenting with quite some configurations, it seems that the
lowlatency kernel is a must (whilst for at least short while on my
other computer it was not necessary)

- I did not install sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-module-jack
Because I run Ardour in the terminal with $ pasuspender -- ardour2

In any case, hopefully in the summer I can try out new distributions
WITHOUT Unity
