ext3 and ext4 are the standards for Linux. Today perhaps ext4 most of
the times. IMO there isn't the need with fast SATAs to use a separated
HDD. Perhaps you'll set fstab for the data partition to noatime, while

Default for AV Linux :D and indeed a PITA.
