[Ardour-Users] Cleaning up unused regions

If you create a range and then right click you get the option to 'bounce with processing' or 'bounce without processing'
I remember from ardour 2.8.6 that bouncing WITH processing didn't always work but it is very useful when it does work. I think it failed on some plug-ins.

No, not if project = session.
Nowhere on the timeline, just an entry in the region list, from where you can pull it to the timeline.
This is because there simply is no obvious/safe place for the region in the arrangement. The new region might be used as replacement, but if there are effects on the track, you have to disable/remove them, to not apply them twice. It can't be put just after the bounced region, as it may overlap with other material there. There is no relation to a new/other track, where it could be placed.
