Frank Farian is a white man, but it sold better when the playback groups
where black. For other countries it might be different regarding to the
colour of the skin, but here it's said Germans are unable to do a 4
count, while for blacks triplets and syncopation should be genetically
I've got the "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" from the RedHotChiliPeppers. The
compositions are still ok, but the mixing already is shoot, e.g. the
drums are a hardcore compressed sludge.
If I do a good mixing for non-commercial music people don't like it, if
I keep the meters at o dB full scale, people like it. The same
composition/ arrangement/ recording!
I switched my job from audio engineer to "nanny" ... my experiences with
an international children's care mafia makes me switch back to job
hunting as an engineer. It seems to be that most that is done
professional is done soulless :(.
