    to get a WAV/FLAC/etc. with all sounds from Ardour and external
synths/apps, i usually make a "mixdown" stereo track (or whatever your
master out is), route the master out(s) to the ins of the mixdown track.
then with the mixdown track rec enable (and no others) and no punches
(or punch in at the start of the session and punch out at the end), i
record the entire master out onto the mixdown track.  finally, i right
click on the new mixdown region and select Export. should give you a
perhaps roundabout way of a full mixdown of your external synths+Ardour
audio/MIDI sounds.  afterwards, i make the mixdown not active until the
new "mix down" ;)
