QTractor cannot be built as a 64 bit application with native
(in-process) support for windows VST plugins. Please stop spreading
misinformation.
If the OP was prepared to and set up to build ardour+VST as a 32 bit
app, it would work just fine (to the extent that hosting windows
plugins in a linux host ever works "just fine").

This doesn't solve the 64 bit issue in any way. Steinberg redesigned
VST (VST3.0 is the result) specifically to address the problems caused
by their API having pointers as a central part of its design. You
can't mix word size in the host and a plugin if the plugin API
involves pointers (since these are by definition a different size in a
windows 32 bit environment and a 64 bit one).
