Thanks Robin, I found them.  Incidentally, I discovered something confusing along the way (this is in Mixbus but it might be the same in Ardour).  If I select Transport->Markers, it looks (from the submenu) as if I should be able to locate to various markers just by pressing 1, 2, 3, 4 or whatever.  However, these shortcuts are all allocated to something else.  For example, 1 changes the edit mode (Slide / Splice / Lock), 4 toggles Auto Play, 5 Toggles Auto Return etc.  Confusing??
