[Ardour-Users] Can anyone help with a Linux problem ?

Thanks guys.  I needed to remove a file called /tmp/.X0-lock but now it lets
me start my desktop!!  Unfortunately though - only if I log in as root.  If
I try to log in as myself I get a message box saying "I've detected a panel
already running and will now exit".  Then I get dumped to the white screen.
Does this shed any light on the problem?
