[Ardour-Users] Could this solve Ardour's financial headache?

Here's an idea.  Couldn't we just appeal to the folks who are generating
money with Ardour?  Maybe put something on the front page specific to
revenue generating users (and maybe on the download page too).  For
example I recently recorded a female vocalist for a wedding and was paid
$90 to do so.  I just tossed a small percentage of it to Paul (sorry
Paul for taking so long to get that to you).  Everyone wins with this
approach because she was recorded cheaper than others would do it, I
made some money for my time, and Paul made some for his product.  The
positive points on this is that the average hobbyist who doesn't
generate any revenue is free to play and those who pay are doing so
voluntarily from an incoming revenue stream.  That just seems easier
than digging into the wallet for money even though it technically is the
same.  Must be some psychological thing.

I guess from my standpoint im more likely to donate if im doing it
freely as opposed to having restrictions put on me.  But that's just me.
