[Ardour-Users] External MIDI Sequencing

hi everybody

I'm a new italian user and, I must say, I simply love Ardour...

now, I was reading that Ardour does not support MIDI sequencing yet so 
here comes my question...

I've managed to use Crystal VST Instrument (my favourite) on Ubuntu 
Gutsy using Jack and fst-1.8.... everything works perfectly fine, and I 
can route easily Crystal into Ardour. No problem, works great.

My problem is that I would like to record MIDI tracks, not just the 
audio output of Crystal... and save them with all the Synth settings.

If this is not possible in Ardour right now, is there an external MIDI 
sequencer I can use beside Ardour? This sequencer should be synched to 
Ardour obviously...

any idea?
