Paul Davis himself is developing ardour on a two processor machine as far as I
know. So that is a yes. :)

That is not that easily possible because with ardour the plugins run in the
same thread as the ardour-jack-stuff does. You can't split that to different
processors except with ringbuffers and additional latency.
But afaik jackdmp tries to distribute parallel jack-graphs across processors.
(I wonder how good that works on a cluster:)
