Yeah, I strongly agree with Geoff. I use two ADAT cables for 16
channels of my HDSP 9652 in Gentoo going over to a Windows box where I
let the VSTs run in the environment they were designed for. I can run
8 stereo VSTs, or GigaStudio or whatever without any mixing and record
them in Ardour without any issues at all. This keeps Ardour at its
simple best and doesn't cause me too many problems at all as I just
use a template to get all the connections started.
