vst support in ardour is barely useful as ardourvst (what the ardour exe is called when compiled to use vst's) is quite unstable atm and jack-svn is also. i have used vst'sin ardour for almost 4 years but have now removed it. it's not worth the hassle. buy more hardware :/ g.
