[Ardour-Users] resampling when importing .wav

I recently imported audio to a new ardour2 session via 
"session - add existing audio".  The file was stereo 
44.1kHz 16bit and jack was set to 44.1khz.  However, when 
I imported the file it was resampled to 48khz.  I thought 
ardour got its sample rate from jack.  Am I wrong, or am I 
missing something here.

p.s. I double checked all the numbers and did this a few 
times, I am not mistaken.
