You can get a Behringer ADA8000 for a mere £156 (dolphinmusic) which will
work as both a mic-pre (not a good one, i know) / line input and line output
device. This would connect to you 9652 with two adat cables.

Just to clear up any misconception: the ADA8000 is both an AD and DA unit.
The analog outputs in the rear are not direct analog outputs from the mic
preamps. The device is actually two devices in one:

1) mic input / line input -> gain -> ADC -> ADAT OUT

.. and

2) ADAT IN -> DAC -> line output

And to top it off: I've read that while people generally dislike hate and
despise behringer gear and think the quality is bad, there have been some
people commenting that the AD/DA sections on the ADA8000 are quite good
actually. It uses a well known Alesis chip (if i remember correctly) which
does a good job.
