[ardour-users] cannot connect messages

On a new song I'm working with I'm getting messages saying that
Ardour can't connect output 1 of a stereo sound file to input
1 of the master out.  Output 2 of the sound file is connected
to input 2 of the master out.  It worked fine for about 20-30
minutes, then it spontaneously disconnected and wouldn't let me
reconnect it.  If I create a new input, drop my region onto it,
then all works fine with the newly created input.  This is how I
solved the problem as I never could get the defunct input to work
again.

I just had the same thing happen with Ardour's built-in
metronome.  I can't reconnect output 2 of the metronome.  I'm
sunk on this one as I can't create a new metronome.  I suppose I
could create a new song, but ouch.

Any ideas folks?

I'm running Ardour 0.99.3 and JACK 0.99.0.
