[ardour-users] Trying to build alpha2 on MacBook

I got the alpha2 release (not the latest CVS) to build. I didn't see
anything like an executable where I would expect it, but did notice a
ardour.bin in the gtk2_ardour directory. When I run that, I get:
(built using 1.0.2 with libardour 1.0.0 and GCC version 4.0.1
(Apple Computer, Inc. build 5250))

ardour: [WARNING]: Without a UI style file, ardour will look strange.
Please set ARDOUR_UI_RC to point to a valid UI style file
ardour: [ERROR]: Ardour menu definition file not found
ardour: [ERROR]: ardour will not work without a valid ardour.menus file
it seems like the requested files are in the directory (here is the
result of ls ard*):
josh$ ls ard*
