[ardour-users] reducing shuttle sensitivity

Hi.

Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the shuttle speed control?

My problem is that very small mouse movements gives very large changes
in speed. I'm editing speech and I never want to go below 1.0x or
above 2.0x.  I'd like to be able to set the shuttle to only work on
that interval, which would make the rate less sensitive to mouse
movement in effect giving me more detail. Another option would be to
break out the shuttle of the transport box and make it wider.

This is beginning to sound more and more like a feature request. Ist
there a standardized way for making feature requests?
