You accidentally posted your message to the alsa-users mailing list
instead of here... FYI.

I saw the backtrace in mantis, but could you try it again, and instead
of 'backtrace', use the following command after it crashes:
 (gdb) thread apply all bt

Also, you should start JACK with realtime disabled, and set the
timeout value to a large number, before you do this gdb stuff.
