nothing about that mockup (not done by me) is decided yet except for the
use of the tabbed notebook to consolidate elements currently distributed
on both sides of the editor window.

the color theme in particular is not decided upon, and i personally
think it more likely that we will stick with the current general color
tone, though people are free to create new ardour_ui.rc files as they
wish.

don't take the mockup too seriously. your sentence at teh start of this
paragraph is accurate. its not even decided yet whether 2.0 itself will
feature the notebook redesign.
