Dont hurry too much.

You need to use JACK from jackit.sourceforge.net/, but not this jack - CD
ripper which has nothing related to concept of audioprocessing with JACKD.

Read http://www.ardour.org/requirements.php and click on a link for
qjackctl it will help you a lot.
