Maybe, but we don't have much choice.  Ardour is not going to save settings
for jackrack; jackrack is not going to save settings for amsynth;
etc etc.

I gather some people have been writing a shell-script-per-project
to load settings & connections, but I'm sure that's not very attractive
to most people.
