Sadly, you can't use the MOTU cards in Linux.  They are a very closed 
and non-linux friendly company.  You can however get a nice RME Hammerfall HDSP to interface to
the board via ADAT lightpipe.  It probably has some midi control
as well that ardour can interact with for transport, etc.
