[ardour-users] motherboard

I'm using an MSI K7D Master for the situation you describe. I haven't
had any real problems with it as yet, but all the dual Athlons I've
dealt with (this one, and a cluster of them w/ Tyan Thunderbird MB's)
have given me minor annoyance and reason to worry about their
stability. I've had this one reset randomly once or twice...once it
said it had corrupted the CMOS data and had to clear all my BIOS
settings. Probably the most annoying thing about it is that I still
need to run at rather high latency (-n 3 -p 256) and suspect that has
at least something to do w/ the fact that my drives are SCSI and are
on a 64-bit PCI adapter, which can only attach to the first PCI bus
while my sound card is normal PCI and therefore has to be on the
secondary PCI bus behind it...but that's not a sure thing as I've got
debian w/ their messed up glibc and I haven't played with the 2.6
voluntary preemption patches at all.
